Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato have collaborated since the 1980s in creating the first line of standard lamps for Foscarini, which they later acquired. In fact in those years Carlo Urbinati moved specifically to Venice from Genoa to become the CEO of Foscarini. Together with Vecchiato, they break away from tradition to bring to the Italian market a glass lighting with a strong innovative impact free from any style and any production constraint, arriving today with more than twenty collections made.
