MIMMO PALADINO

MIMMO PALADINO

Mimmo Paladino, whose original name is Domenico, was born in Campania in 1948 where he studied painting at the School of Art in Benevento. It was also thanks to his uncle that Paladino became passionate about the world of art. His early approaches to the world of painting were inspired by Max Ernst and Paul Klee. It was in 1980, with the exhibition at the Venice Biennale, that Paladino with the group of the Transavanguardia became known and influenced in Germany the group of "Jungen Wilden". Paladino currently lives between Milan and Benevento. For Artemide he designed Dulcinea, the floor lamp with impressive dimensions, more than two meters high, and the wall lamp Hsiang.
