NIGEL COATES

Nigel Coates is an English architect who attended the University of Nottingham. Architecturally, Nigel designed several buildings around the world: Bongo Café in Japan, the Geffrye Museum extension in the UK, the National Center for Popular Music (now the Sheffield Hallam Hubs music venue) in Sheffield, and many others. His projects are exhibited in various museum collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, FRAC Orléans and the Museum for Architectural Drawing in Berlin. The architect also designed the British Pavilion at Expo in '98 Lisbon, the Hypnerotosphere installation at the 2008 Venice Architecture Biennale and part of the 2012 Kama: Sex and Design exhibition at the Milan Triennale.
