ANTONIO CITTERIO
Born in Meda in 1950, Antonio Citterio graduated at the Politecnico of Milan in 1975. He began a series of important cooperation in the field of industrial design in 1972, working for brands as Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor-Hansgrohe,B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Fusital, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec Group, Technogym, Tre Più and B&B Italia, where he invented and coordinated the trademark Vitra. He received many rewards, such as the Compasso d’Oro in 1987 and in 1995 and some of his works are exhibited in world’s famous museums, such as the MoMA of New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. In 1999 he founded the society “Antonio Citterio & Partners” together with Patricia Viel, a studio which works on international level. Besides being a designer, Antonio Citterio is also a professor in many institutes.
