Cédric Ragot was born in Dieppe on 1 June 1973 and graduated in 1999 at the Ecole nationale supérieure de création industrielle. In 2002, he opened his own studio in Montreuil (Senna-Saint-Denis). His firm works for prestigious clients on the design of new products but also on projects of anticipation for which he derives the brands in their thinking and position. During his career, he collaborated with companies such as Alcatel, Roche Bobois, Paco Rabanne Parfums, Cappellini, Rosenthal, Veuve Clicquot, Panasonic, Krups, Lacie and Häagen-Dazs. Polymorphic designer promotes a transversal vision of industrial design and creation in the broad sense. By multiplying the interventions, however, he constantly affirms his interest for a clear reading of objects and proposes an intuitive and sensitive aesthetic. Among the various prizes obtained thanks to his creations are the Good Design Award in 2007 for the Fast vase with Rosenthal, a Wallpaper Design Awards in 2008 for Majordome coffee tables with Roche Bobois and a Reddot Design Award in 2012 for the 3Mix 5000 Mixer, emblematic product of the Krups brand. In 2014 he received a Best Design Fifi Awards for the design of the perfume bottle Invictus by Paco Rabanne. In addition, some of his pieces are part of the collection of the National Fund of Contemporary Art and are exhibited in Paris, Hannover, Vienna, New York, Milan. In 2015, the designer died prematurely at the age of 41.
