Gio Ponti, the greatest exponent of made in Italy, was born in 1981 in Milan, he graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan. In 1925 he founded the magazine Domus '', which will represent his instrument to spread his new design ideas. Over the years he continues to work in the field of design and architecture, showing more interest in interior design: in 1936 he became a teacher at the Polytechnic of Milan and in 1954 he invented the Compasso d'Oro award, a prize that is currently aspired by the best designers. Gio Ponti represents innovation in Italy and in the world and he is considered one of the masters of Italian architecture of the twentieth century. Among his many works, the Pirelli Skyscraper in Milan is the most recognized masterpiece. In 1979 he died in Milan, at the age of 87 years.
