Born in Verona in 1962, Luca Trazzi graduated in architecture in Venice, where he also worked as assistant of architectonic composition, winning the prize Carlo Scarpa. He has then become collaborator and assistant of the Italian architect Aldo Rossi, with whom he worked for fourteen years, especially on architectonic projects such as Gruppo Finanziario Tessile in Turin, the Congress Palace of Milan and Kuala Lumpur’s City Center in Malaysia. He opened his first studio in Milan in 1995, dedicating himself to architecture and design; he then opened another one in Shanghai in 2005, after winning the prestigious Red-Dot design prize. In the field of Product Design, Luca Trazzi creates design objects which are simple to use and beautiful to see, with an incredible care for details. Trazzi has collaborated with several international brands, such as Audi, Chicco, Fiorucci, Porsche, Martini, Barilla and Swatch, other than creating the elegant collection of Illy coffee machines with FrancisFrancis!
